. . . much "back and forth" flip-flopping from one site to another one has to do in order to get a seemingly very simple project done, like uploading photos? I remember "back in the Dark Ages", before the days of the wonderful PC's that they were the rave of all our culture as something that would virtually eliminate paperwork, and save gargantuans of quantities of time in getting things done, and then they have you jumping from one site to another, with one password or another, oftentimes having to enter your password untold number of times and giving you innumerable choices of which program to use for a specific task, sometimes leaving you with a "sorry" note that they can't get it done on your computer, for one excuse or another. Is this like a "bad hair day", only it's a "bad PC day"?? It must be. That's why I'm losing so much hair. Your thoughts.
I can really appreciate the comments from "dismantl . . .". I guess I've been one of those who'd much rather "search through thousands of notecards at the library to find a simple piece of information from an outdated book". I know, from ample experience in getting my three university degrees, just how frustrating that can be, but, somehow, it seemed more meaningful that way. Here, it's not much more than talking with one's television, and we won't even go there since I loathe tv so much. I am enjoying your answers though!! God Bless ya'll.
"Spook_puncher", you make it sound all so fast and simple, and maybe you've got just the setup, and experience, to do it so easily, but the websites such as Yahoo, and Kodak EasyShare and whatever, seem to make something so easy, so hard. One remedy I have is my 23 year old sons, who wonders why he used to think his dad was so smart. I can't punish him now for his lower opinions of me. He just came back from two tours in Iraqi Freedom, and even though I'm still bigger than he, he's one heckuva lot tougher . . . and we love and respect each other for "combat", I hope.
LittleBarb, you're about to get 20 points for BEST ANSWER!! I'm not sure how I'd do that, without spending the rest of this weekend and into next week working on it, but if I could, I'd get you 20 points for your answer. God Bless you.

I agree sometimes the pc makes a simple task complicated. But only if you need to print it. LOL

uploading photos? nope. it's one step. never heard of anyone going site to site to upload. you just choose pics, hit upload. done.

I can see where your coming from, but because your here, commenting, and chatting online, Im assuming that computers are infact becoming more useful. We would have never seen a Yahoo! answers back in the dark ages. Kids would still be searching through thousands of notecards at the library to find a simple piece of information from an outdated book. Sure, things are frustrating with a 100 sites that do the same thing, but I think its worth it for the few that do it the best.

Its all in the way you set up the software to perform. Once you get it way you like it to act life becomes EZ in terms of using your PC.

Ever call a business over the TELEPHONE lately???? USED to be, you'd pick up the phone, dial a business number and a REAL LIVE HONEST TO GOODNESS PERSON would answer on the other end of the line---MIGHT put you on hold to transfer you somewhere else, but within seconds, you'd be talking to someone again... NOW? You dial a business number, get a recording telling you to PRESS 1 for ENGLISH....(what gives?)... then you listen to a "menu" of about 15 things before you get to MAYBE the menu item that YOU want.... press the corresponding NUMBER for that menu item that the recording tells you, get put on hold again and told to LISTEN TO THE FOLLOWING MENU ITEMS---and it's an entirely DIFFERENT set of menu items... 5-15 of them... you again get to your number, push it and some smart ass recording comes on and says OUR OFFICE HOURS ARE BETWEEIN 9am and 5PM.... it is only 4:45 PM but this recording says---OUR OFFICE IS NOW CLOSED, GOOD BYE.... and the RECORDING hangs up on you!!!!! Talk about bouncing from one thing to another---OH and 9 times out of 10, you end up with someone on the other end when you DO get someone who can BARELY speak English.... what fun.
